First stop: Copenhagen, Denmark, and a visit to the Little Mermaid. This is a fair distance from the town square, but a very nice walk. There is also a good Bikeshare system available.

In between downtown and the Mermaid is the Stroget, one of the oldest and longest pedestrian shopping streets in the world. You can’t miss it.
